    Permitted uses

    Retail, restaurants, recreation, housing, home occupations and coworking. Office use is listed above the first floor.

    Prohibited uses

    Large commercial complexes, industrial activity and major infrastructure installations.

    Conditional uses

    Public facilities, transport terminals, hotels, fuel stations, compliant Grade E repair garages and car washes.

    What to check

    Check the parcel’s overlay maps as well as its base zone. A conditional use needs the applicable conditions and approvals; it is not automatically permitted.

    What to check

    Buildings on main commercial roads, transit corridors and wetland fronts need a continuous arcade at least 3 m deep, with no parking in the front setback.
